Batea Mahuida is unique in Argentina: it's run by the Mapuche Puel community on the volcano of the same name, overlooking Villa Pehuenia's lagoon and pehuén forests. It's a snow park more than a ski resort — sleds, snowshoes, beginner slopes — ideal for families and first-timers. It opens depending on conditions: confirm before detouring.
